Q. What if I don’t achieve 5 GCSEs grade A-C required for an apprenticeship?

A. There are routes to an apprenticeship through a traineeship and CAP-UK will provide guidance on this.

 

Q. What if I need support to create my CV or prepare for an interview?

A. Support with CV’s and interview skills can be accessed through the E-Learning Modules on our website, However, any further support needed can be organised with a CAP-UK representative.

 

Q. How can I find apprenticeship opportunities?  

A. Apprenticeship opportunities can be found on our website under the Apprenticeship Opportunities tab. These opportunities are updated every Monday so it is advisable to check back regularly.

Q. Do we need to engage with the Armed Forces Covenant and Employer Recognition Scheme to be connected to this talent pool of cadets?

A. Our ask of you as an employer is to demonstrate support for the Armed Forces by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. It is a voluntary pledge, but with your support a cadet will be able to continue their personal development as a cadet, which is free training for you as an employer.

Q. Is there a cost to my organisation?

A. No , this is a free sign posting service for both cadets and employers, established as a charity.

 

Q. You have asked my company to guarantee an interview for a cadet, but will this affect our fair recruiting process? 

A. Although we ask you to guarantee an interview, It is your company’s recruiting process, which will identify the best candidate for the role. which may not be the cadet.
